Originally we had planned to spend the middle three months of our sabbatical year in The Netherlands. However, just a few months before we left for sabbatical, Wylie took a job in Toulouse, France! We hadn’t planned to make any changes to our sabbatical itinerary when Wylie got the job, but after a few months of sabbatical life, we realized that visiting the place we would be moving to was probably a good idea. So we made the mid-sabbatical change of plans to spend three months and learn a bit about the city that would become our new home.
